Blade is a multipercussion solo that requires coordinated independence relentlessly! Written for an abbreviated drumset (played while standing) and complemented by three semi-resonant metals of the performer's choosing, the piece uses a series of hemiola-driven rhythmic gestures to weave a complex tapestry of percussive sound. Underwritten by a recurring melodic theme that travels freely among all voices, Blade will require all of your coordination and sensitivity.
