Montgomery Hatch

Montgomery Hatch is a Percussionist with the New York City Opera, and Professor of Percussion at Hofstra University in Long Island. He has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, and Honolulu Symphony among others. He is a regular performer on Broadway in New York City and has recorded for films and CDs in Los Angeles and San Francisco at Fox Studios and Skywalker Ranch.

As an advocate of new music, Montgomery has performed in a number premieres by composers such as John Adams, Thomas Ades, Michael Daugherty, Magnus Lindberg, Christopher Rouse, and John Zorn. He has toured with orchestras in Japan, Europe, and throughout the Unites States, and was a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps in 1997 and 1998.
