FAQs

Visit our growing collection of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). Here, you'll find common technical tips related to Virtual Drumline and common questions on our downloadable products and online shopping with tapspace.com.

DOWNLOADS/UPDATES

Virtual Drumline software is often updated and improved beyond what you may have installed from the DVD. Downloadable updates to the software are available here. Also available are some very useful VDL template files for Sibelius and Finale users.

TAPSPACE FORUM

Your good experience with our products is important to us so we've created a community filled with experts on Virtual Drumline, music technology, and percussion in general - The Tapspace Forum. This is the best place to search for information pertaining to your technical problems or inquire with new discussions. This is by far the web's biggest collection of Virtual Drumline users - all in one place!

Important: If you decide to post a question on the forum, be sure to read the forum guidelines. You won't receive adequate assistance unless you follow the simple rules outlined.

VIRTUAL DRUMLINE REGISTRATION SUPPORT

All registration support for Virtual Drumline™ is handled directly through Native Instruments, creators of Kontakt Player. Registration and authorization is done through the NI SERVICE CENTER program (downloadable for free here). For registration support, fill out NI's Registration Support Form or call their support line in Los Angeles at: 323-467-2693. Also, be sure to read Native Instruments' Registration FAQ and Support page.

PHONE SUPPORT

In addition to our evolving development of Tapspace, we work in a variety of other music-related activities. As such, we do not offer telephone technical support. We are, however, on the forum frequently each day, and several other VDL users are there to offer continual advice.

ORDERING OR BILLING PROBLEMS

Our webstore is a simple place to shop online. If, however, you are having problems please read the topics at this location to learn about possible problems you may encounter with ordering or payment processing.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THIRD-PARTY SUPPORT:

We do not offer official support for third-party products or brands such as Sibelius, Finale, Windows, Apple, Dell, HP, Finale, Soundblaster, or Native Instruments. There are, however, some very helpful resources on the internet (in addition to our forum) that can help you with these products.

We ask that you determine whether your technical issue specifically pertains to our software product (Virtual Drumline sounds) or your computer setup (including notation software, soundcard, sequencer, etc.). If your question is pertaining to one of these other devices, we encourage you to consult its documentation or contact the technical support department of that particular manufacturer.
